Patch notes for Valorant 7.01 update: Premier Ignition, player behavior updates, etc – Dexerto

The Valorant 7.01 patch is the first update after Episode 7 Act 1 was canceled and it includes a new stage for the Premium game mode, updates to agents and player behavior, etc.

The 7.0 patch update on June 27 is a major update by Valorant standards, introducing a brand new Episode with a new agent, new game mode, and an overhauled Progression System. Patch 7.01 is here to reinforce these additions with a new stage for the Premier game mode.

The size of this patch is significantly smaller than what we’ve seen in the past. With that said, here’s everything included in the 7.01 patch notes of the Valorant update.

Valorant Patch Update 7.01: Advanced Ignition Stage, Player and Agent Behavior Updates

Premier enters the Ignition Phase with patch update 7.01. This means players will have to register for the game from scratch – by forming a new team and re-registering. However, this time, all progress starting from the team and match history will be carried over to the launch date in August. So make sure you choose your team name carefully for your sake. won’t be able to change it later. If you are wondering how to play Valorant Premier, our guide will assist you.

Registration will last until July 20, and the exact end times vary from Region to Region. Matches will begin on July 20 and run through August 12, 2023. The knockout round takes place on August 13. By then, try to get at least 375 Premier Points to win. Qualify and get a chance to be one of the best teams in your Division. As a bonus, you will get the title of Premier Champion and gun friend.

In addition, the new patch comes with updated player behavior. This includes continuous AFK in-game bans, friendly shooting, and line avoidance in Competitive and Unranked modes. If you were the one who was muted in real time, you will now also be muted for the rest of the match.

Also, get ready to hear some conversation between Deadlock and Gekko as Riot has also added some dialogue interactions. They’ve also updated the skill action icons to be more consistent across all Agents, and these will now appear above your equipped abilities.

Ignition Stage is live now!

• If you played in the Premier Open Beta, first of all, thank you! Second, everyone is starting from scratch with Ignition, so you’ll also have to form or join a new team this time around. However, your team and match history will be carried over from Ignition to launch in August, so choose your team name carefully. (You can’t change it later!)
• Registration runs until July 20, so get your team together and make sure to pick a Region before that. The exact time to end Subscriptions varies by Region—be sure to check the schedule in the client for more information so you don’t miss out.
• Matches start on July 20th and run through August 12th, with the Qualifiers on August 13th. Once there, win a Minimum Score of 375 to qualify and stand a chance. crown one of the best teams in your Category. (Oh…and get the sweet Premier League Champion and gun buddy title too.)

Update player behavior

• We’ve added in-game bans for Repeat AFK, Friendly Shoot, and Queue Dodge in Competitive and Unranked modes.
• Real-time muted players will now also be muted for the entire match.
