Mbappe warning
Arsenal have been told exactly why they should reconsider their interest in Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe. The Gunners are one of the clubs believed to be interested in the France international after he decided he would not sign a one-year contract extension.
It will take a hefty transfer fee to entice Mbappe to leave Paris, with a move possible next summer when his current contract expires. However, former PSG sporting director Leonardo spoke out explaining why he should stay away from Mikel Arteta.
«For the sake of PSG, I think it’s time for Mbappe to leave, no matter what.
«Paris-Saint-Germain existed before Kylian Mbappe and it will exist after him. He’s been in Paris for six years and in those six seasons five different clubs have won the Champions League, no Which team has Mbappe in their ranks, which means it’s entirely possible to win this competition without him.
«With his behavior over the past two years, Mbappe is showing that he is not yet a player capable of truly leading a team. He is a great player, not a leader. England He’s a great goalscorer, not a creator. It’s hard to build a team around him.»

football.london speak: Any possibility of Mbappe coming to the Gunners will depend a lot on whether he accepts to join a group of players who know their role well in the club’s squad. The striker has been a superstar wherever he goes, which is simply not possible at Arsenal.
While the thought of Mbappe moving to the Emirates Stadium is a luxury, the warning won’t come as much of a surprise. At this stage, Arsenal need players who will help them end their wait for the Premier League title and they simply cannot afford to tailor their transfer policy to one person.
The back seat seems to be the best possible option for Arsenal, to allow the likes of Real Madrid to participate.
Partey’s Predicted Bid
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that offers for Arsenal midfielder Thomas Party are expected amid interest from Saudi Arabia.
football.london understands that Partey could leave the Gunners this summer if enough offers are received. «I’m told Saudi clubs will try to get close to Thomas Partey again in the next few days,» Romano told CaughtOffside. «On the player’s side, the priority is still European football and he wants to continue in Europe. Let’s see if the Saudi clubs can change his mind. «
«As previously reported, it was important to convince Arsenal as they wanted a substantial fee to let Partey go.»
football.london speak: Arsenal will only allow Partey to leave this summer if they receive a good enough offer. The defensive midfielder played a key role in their championship title last season but the arrival of Declan Rice left him with a decision to make.
At the age of 30, Partey might be tempted to move to Saudi Arabia with all the financial benefits. However, he is more than good enough to play in Europe. The issue is not whether he leaves, but whether a team bids anywhere close to the Gunners’ valuation.
It is currently unclear how much money Arsenal want for their star. However, with the CIES Football Observatory valuing him at 30 million euros ($32.9 million) and his contract not set to expire for another two years, the club are in a prime position to ask for a large fee.
